Dorothy Elliot

Dorothy Elliot, aged 95, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025 at Holland Christian Homes, Brampton Ontario.

 She was born March 22, 1930 in Ottawa to parents Wilfred and Florence Johnson. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Cecil (married 1988) and husband Richard Clayton Jones (1950-1975). She was predeceased by her parents, brother Donald, sisters Gwen Terentiuk and Hilda Cameron. 

Dorothy was mother to Sandra (David), Donna (John). Beloved grandmother to Erynn, Amanda, Rick (Summer) and Rob (Jolyne) and great grandmother to Lincoln and Jamieson. Will be missed by nieces Nancy, Anne & Carol, and good friend Lisa Hamley.

We wish to thank Pastor Richard Bodini for all of kindness and patience while spending time with my mom. We know she valued his company and reassurances always. We also wish to thank all the great nurses and PSW’s at Holland Christian Homes for all their patience and kindness in caring for mom. Finally to Dr. Laurie Morrison, thank you for the reassurances and compassion you gave to mom, her family and friends. You were and continue to be such a comfort to us all.

There will be no service as per Dorothy’s request.

Interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Dorothy’s name to the CNIB or Ontario Humane Society.
