At Etobicoke General Hospital on Thursday September 6, 2012 in her 96th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband for 59 years Gareth Swayze (1996). Dorothy was a loving and greatly loved Mother to Garry and his wife Carol Swayze, Mary Lynn and her husband Doug Henry and Elizabeth and her husband Frank Harber. She was a fun-loving grandmother of 7 and great-grandmother of 11. Dorothy was an artistic, kind, generous, faith-filled woman whose zest for life was enjoyed by all who came in contact with her. Loved, treasured and always remembered. Special thanks to her caregivers at Etobicoke General for their compassionate care over the past 10 days. Visitation will be held at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston on Sunday September 9, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held at West Toronto Baptist Church (3049 Dundas St.,West) on Monday September 10, 2012 at 11am. Interment St. Philip’s Churchyard Cemetery. If desired donations may be made to West Toronto Baptist Church, the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Etobicoke General Hospital.
