Diodato Fraschini

Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Sunday February 26, 2023 at the age of 82. Husband of the late Gerardina. Proud father of Lucy (Steven), Joseph and Peter (Maria). Cherished Nonno of Jaiden, Tristyn-Cierra, Daniella, Veronica, Seraphina and Dominic Diodato Fraschini. Survived by his siblings Frank, Pasquale and Mario and his many family and friends.

Diodato was a proud family man who loved to spend time with his grandchildren, telling stories of his youth and enjoying gelato at La Paloma. Family B.B.Q’s were a favorite past time which were topped off with Dad’s home made wine.

Diodato loved to travel , he enjoyed spending time on the beaches of Cuba. In his younger years he spent time in Germany, Argentina and the United States of America.

Diodato was a machinist by trade. He worked in the automobile industry on cars and trucks. He was a handyman who enjoyed working with his hands, this lead to a job with the school board within the maintenance department.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 4671 Hwy 7, Woodridge (just west of Pine Valley Dr.) on Saturday March 4, 2023 from 12 noon till service time at 1 p.m. Inurnment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Sick Kids Foundation would be appreciated.
