The family of Digger Hickman are sad to announce his peaceful passing on September 12, 2012. Digger was born on July 14, 1924 in Toronto, Ontario. Predeceased by his loving wife Billie in May 2012, after nearly 60 years of marriage. Cherished father of Julie (John), Shelley (Neal). Grandpa to Trevor (Shelli), Tracey (Domenic), Carl and Amanda (Leo). Great-grandfather to Cole, Riley, Max, Abigail, Benjamin and Izzy. Digger is predeceased by his parents Percival and Marion, and by his siblings Norton, Beryl, Spencer, Noel, Dudley, Witley, Linda and Donna. Survived by his sister-in-law Evelyn (Noel) and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave) on Monday, September 17, 2012 from 12 noon until a Celebration of his Life at 1p.m. in the chapel.
