Sprayson, Dennis William (1924-2016)

It is with deep sadness we announce Dennis’ passing on Thursday February 18, 2016, in his 92nd year, surrounded by his family at Sunnybrook Hospital. Beloved husband of 68 years to the late Gladys Rita (nee Seabert) Born on the 24th of August in Ottawa, ON in 1924, to parents Rose Edna (nee Tomlin) and Harry Bertrum (Pat) Sprayson. Dear father of Marilyn Sprayson, Heather Simpson, Diane Zelasko (Mike), and Denise Plociennik (Ed) .Cherished grandfather of Richard and Keith Simpson, Alex Plociennnik, Christopher, Gregory, and David Zelasko. He will be missed by great-grandchildren; Maia, Owen, Nicholas & Logan Zelasko. Dennis was proud to have served overseas in WW II, with the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers of the7th Canadian Infantry Brigade of the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division. Cremation has already taken place, and private time of remembrance will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Sunnybrook Palliative Care Unit K1E, for their care and support. Donations may be made to in Dennis’ memory to the Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation.
