Dee Dee was a long-time resident of Brampton and one of the first to reside in Bramalea. In the early days of Bramalea she was an active organizer in Lady Bramalea. She retired from Rice Construction as Property Manager, then spent 8 years as Court Services Officer with the Attorney General, Brampton Court House where she sued and won a lawsuit against the Attorney General for Age discrimination in the Court House. She was respected by all.

Her past times were the local Casinos where she spent many hours playing the slot machines and the local Bingo halls. There were many visits to Las Vegas with her sister. She loved Willie Nelson’s music and met the star personally in New York through contacts of her grandson Geordon.

Her immediate family will forever remember her Christmas mornings where the Christmas tree and surrounding areas were swamped with gifts for those in attendance.

She possessed an uncanny gift of being asked for advice from people she had never met before.

The family would like to thank Grace Manor, Brampton for their compassionate support during the past year.

A private service was attended by family at the Ward Funeral Home, Brampton where she was cremated. Expressions of Condolences in Dee’s memory can be received by the Ward Funeral Home, Brampton as well donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
