After a brief illness, Dave, 92, passed away peacefully in his sleep, on August 11, 2011 in Oakville. Loved dad of Liz of Burlington, Steve[Shuqin] of South Korea, Fran [John] of Coquitlam BC, Brenda [Mike] of Burlington, ON and Ellen of Kilworthy ON .Dearly missed by close friends, throughout the Canada and the US. Dave loved to reminisce with his army buddies. He enjoyed simple ways of living, loved the north, and music and was deeply concerned about preserving the environment. Until the end, he always dreamed of riding his own motorcycle like he did reconnaissance in the war. Ride with the wind, Dave. Canada has lost a soldier. We have lost a dad, an uncle, a papa, a great papa and a friend.
