David Roan Dobell

David Roan Dobell, a devoted family man known for his warmth and gentle spirit, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2026, at the age of 91.

Born on June 12, 1935, in Vancouver, British Columbia. Dave lived a long, fulfilling life surrounded by the people he loved. He was a man of deep kindness who brought wisdom, steady guidance, and quiet joy to every family gathering.

Dave was predeceased by his beloved wife and partner of 62 years, Barb. Those who knew them take comfort in imagining them reunited, sharing a good glass of scotch and joyfully planning their next celebration. Dave’s love of Christmas, photography, good food and chocolate has been passed on to his two daughters Leslie (Darren) Richard, and Jenny (Paul) Kerr. He was the incredibly proud grandfather of Jake, Madison and Amanda. Dave held a tender spot in his heart for his nieces and nephews, especially Dan McDonald whose visits and phone calls always brought a brightness to his days. He also leaves behind extended family and wonderful friends who will miss him dearly.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to his care team for greatly enhancing his life over the past few years. While we are thankful for everyone who provided support, we wish to express a special thank you to Erynn for her exceptional care and dedication.

A funeral mass will be held at St Mary’s Church, 66 Main Street South, Brampton on November 12, 2026, at 10:30, reception to follow.
