It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Danilo Falcomer, who departed peacefully on Friday, December 19, 2025, following a long illness.
Born in Prodolone, Pordenone, Italy, to the late Anselmo and Elisa Falcomer, Danilo was a man of profound character and tireless work ethic. In 1959, he set sail for Canada, carrying with him the dreams of a young immigrant and the determination to build a legacy. He began his journey in the construction industry before finding his true calling in the artistry of stone. Alongside his loyal friend and business partner, Frank, he co-founded Diamante Granite & Marble, a testament to his craftsmanship that continues to thrive today under the dedicated leadership of Frank and Danilo’s son, Lawrence.
Danilo was the beloved husband of Paola for 64 years, a union defined by steadfast devotion and love. He was the cherished father of Denise and Lawrence (Liane). As the last surviving member of his generation, Danilo is now reunited with his siblings Severino, Angelo, Giovani, Maria, Luigia & Angelina.
In his younger days, Danilo’s spirit was captured on the soccer field. That passion never faded; in his later years, Sunday afternoons were sacred, spent cheering on his favorite team, Udinese. His memory will be held dear by his many nieces and nephews across Canada and Italy, as well as the countless friends and colleagues who were touched by his kindness and integrity.
Danilo leaves behind a legacy of hard work, family devotion, and a life beautifully lived. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit remains carved in the hearts of those who knew him.
