Danilo Cossarin

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Danilo Cossarin on February 19, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Danilo was born on January 8, 1933, to Giacomo and Regina Cossarin.

Danilo is survived by his beloved wife Rose, of 57 years. He is also survived by his sons Mark (Mary), and Daniel (Tina), as well as his grandchildren Tomas, Julia, Isabelle and Annelise.

Danilo moved to Toronto in 1954 and soon moved to Halifax, finding his career as a tile setter.  He was very dedicated to his job, working hard to provide for Rose, Mark, and Daniel. If he was not at work, Danilo could be found riding his bike, which was one of his greatest joys in life. In his free time he also enjoyed watching soccer, eating good food and travelling with his loved ones. Danilo will be lovingly remembered as a good soul, with a big heart.  

Our grief over losing Danilo is infinite, but our loving memory of him will always remain in our hearts.

Friends and family will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place at the Ward Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. A private family committal service will take place at a later date.
