Cristovao Pedro Cabral
August 1, 1932-January 11, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Cristovao (Chris), while surrounded by his family in his 92nd year.
To the man who started our family, bestowed upon us our last name, rests with his soulmate and best friend for 64 years, the late Maria (nee Araujo) June 2023.
Dearly missed by his children Chris (Teresa), Humberto (Maria), Maria (Joe), Eugene (Fatima); and niece Anna (Dave).
Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Brandon (Victoria), Daniel (Rylee), Ryan, Alexa (Daniel), Vanessa (Tommy), Lucas (Sabrina), Julia; and honorary grandson Jacob, and great-grandson Declan and Daxton.
Chris was a soft, kind and gentle soul that touched so many people by always being there to help when needed.
A night owl behind the bar, a skilled cook and a talented gardener were just a few of his many passions.
His love for music was evident as a member of the church choir and even present in his last years of life as he was always found singing and whistling until he could no longer. His melody will live in our hearts forever.
His love for his children and grandchildren knew no boundaries and the love he shared with his soul mate and wife of 64 years was a love that could not be measured in words.
Our dad was a role model who inspired us to live with strong values, honor and a deep love for family. His wisdom shaped us, his love defined us. Grateful for the legacy he left, forever smiling down upon us from heaven.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at the Ward Funeral Home 52 Main Street South, Brampton from 3:00-9:00 p.m.
