With heavy hearts our family mourns the loss of Pio Liscio, beloved husband to Rita, cherished father to Eugene(Renata),Vitania(Tim)and Siro, and “Best Nonno Ever” to Zoette, Matteo, Erben and Lucas. Born in Panni, Italy, and arriving in Canada in 1955 with a dream and a prayer, he lived life with integrity and a smile. As founder of Anvil Fireside, he was well respected by his employees, partners, and colleagues, and best known for his incredible generosity. He took pride in his garden, and cherished every moment with his grandchildren. A house full of guests and a table full of food gave him great joy. He will live in our hearts forever. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge on Monday from 2-4 & 6-9p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Church, 300 Ansley Grove Road, Woodbridge at 9:30a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Vaughan Food Bank.
