Klamer Cornelis "Cor"

March 12, 1937- January 27, 2026

Passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side on Tuesday January 27, 2026 at the age of 88.

Beloved husband of Joyce Klamer (nee Carnegie) and his late wife Johanna (nee Ros). Cherished Stepdad to Sue Osborne and Jason Goldsmith (Vanda). Beloved Grandpa to Chiara and Maya Goldsmith.

He will be missed by his sister-in-law Willie Krapels (Ros), her daughter-in-law Carolyn Krapels and her daughters Paulina and Carolene.

Those who know Cor aka "The Piano Man" know that his love of music meant everything to him, particularly jazz and classical music. Wherever there was a piano or organ, Cor could be found playing it. Cor played in many venues across Southeastern Ontario as well as a gig in Cuba.

Cor's second home was Central United Church. He was the church organist/pianist for twelve years and continued playing for various services after that as well as singing tenor in the choir. He had a special spot in his heart for the Central King Senior Residence people and played there for them frequently. He also played at Christmas for The Weston King Neighborhood Centre.

As well Cor played at many senior facilities around the city including Belmont House, Hazelton Lanes and Humber Heights.

He also played with his group at the Syme 55 + Centre.

Cor loved people and was always there with a helping hand.

A proud Dutchman he still retained contacts with friends and relatives back in the Netherlands.

He will forever be missed.
