In Loving Memory of Christopher Daniel Magno
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce Christopher Daniel Magno’s sudden and tragic passing in a car accident; the son of Catherine (Casey) McRobb and Joe Magno, brother of William and brother-in-law of Diana George. He will be missed by his grandfather Salvatore Magno and countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him dearly. Christopher will be forever remembered by his late grandparents, Grazia Magno and William and Christine McRobb.
Christopher was larger than life. On July 23, 2025, at 33 years old, Christopher left us far too soon, but he lived more in those 33 years than many do in a lifetime.
As a child, Christopher would never put sauce on his pasta, no matter how much Nonna insisted, or anyone tried to convince him. He wasn’t one for tradition or following the path others expected of him-Christopher was just too busy being himself.
Growing up in a family that lived and breathed hockey and lacrosse, Christopher chose his own sport: football. He was recruited by one of the top-ranking Canadian football teams in University sports, the St. Francis Xavier X-Men. As a linebacker, Christopher was relentless on the field but also the first to rally his teammates.
In his career, Christopher’s work ethic reflected his determined spirit. He progressed quickly in his trade, working towards his Red Seal certification. His skill and his tenacity made him invaluable. Christopher worked hard, and on his own terms.
Christopher wasn’t just clever; he was quick witted and fearless in his humour. When he told a story, he made everyone come to life. His laughter was contagious. Christopher made you question everything you thought you already knew. It was infuriating and at the same time he pushed us all to grow and never settle.
Christopher had an unbreakable bond with his brother William. Whether it was good or bad news, a victory or a setback, Christopher called William first. Christopher and William were two halves of the same person.
Growing up, Christopher’s hero was his dad, Joe. Both the youngest sons in their families, they shared a love of sports, BMWs and a determined spirit that shaped their relationship. They both only wanted to see each other happy.
Above all, Christopher was always a momma’s boy and loved her dearly. In a world where he refused to be tied down, his connection with his mom was his anchor. She was the one person who always saw through his tough exterior and could make him laugh and roll his eyes at the same time. Christopher lived in many places, but his mom’s was always his home.
Christopher’s passing leaves an unfillable void in this world. His legacy of unapologetic individuality lives on in everyone he touched. Christopher is unforgettable and we are all better people for having known him.
A visitation will be held at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge, on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 4-9 pm.
