Charles "Jack" Jones

Born February 19, 1931
Surrounded by love he passed away peacefully at Toronto General Hospital on May 22, 2012. Beloved husband, friend and life partner of Annie Jones, father of Stephen and Jennifer. Grandpa to Nicole, Brian, and Kirsten. Brother of Ann Maroney (England), and Peter. Charles was born in Co. Durham, England.
He served in the British Royal Navy for 71/2 years before emigrating to Canada in 1957 with his wife Janet, after Janet's passing Charles married Mary (Downey). Their marriage ended and Charles married Annie in 1982. A loving marriage that stood the test of time.
Charles was well known in the footwear industry and was a founding member of several boards promoting the industry he enjoyed so much. In 1969 he incorporated his own business, "C. Jack Jones Associates Limited". In 2005 Charles was forced to give up his company due to ill health. However, Charles still took an active interest in the industry he loved so much. He would often browse the shoe stores to "just look" at the newest products. "Once a Shoe man, always a Shoe man".
Many thanks to the doctors and team of the Toronto General Hospital Cardiovascular Unit for their care and compassion toward Charles and our family during his final days.
