In Loving Memory

October 12, 1926-July 15, 2025

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness we announce the passing of our dear father Cesare (Rino) Botter, at home, surrounded by his family on the morning of Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in Mississauga, Ontario at the age of ninety-eight.

Rino now rests in eternal peace, joyfully reunited with his beloved wife, Natalina, in heaven and will be deeply missed by his children Walter (Hermana), Pia (Roberto), his cherished grandchildren Sabrina (Paul), Elysia (Philip), Zachary (Melaani gf), Julia (Joseph) and his three adored great-grandchildren Zara, Xavier, and Adriana.

Rino lived his life faithfully and was a true example of quiet strength, humility, and kindness. Although he was a man of few words, he showed his love through his warm smile and peaceful presence. He was always there to lend a helping hand and preferred to serve than be served. He will always be remembered for his beautifully tended garden and expert bocce skills… a true champion.

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston, on Sunday July 20, 2025, from 2-4 pm and from 5-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bernard de Clairvaux Catholic Church, 1789 Lawrence Ave., North York at 10 am on Monday, July 21, 2025. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 8361 Yonge St., Thornhill.

Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Radio Maria, or Consolata Missionaries.
