With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our cherished matriarch, Caterina Greco, on May 1, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Sant’Onofrio, Vibo Valentia, Calabria, Italy, on October 31, 1933, to Vincenzo and Domenica Arcella. She will be dearly missed by her loving sisters Cristina, Maria, Rosalba, and Mimma, and is now reunited with her beloved brother, Francesco.

On September 6, 1958, Caterina married her one true love, Giuseppe Greco. In 1963, they embarked on a new chapter in Toronto, where they built a beautiful life and raised their family. She was the devoted mother of Melina (Clem), Mima (Dan), Enzo (Enza), and Frank (Petula).

Caterina was a proud and loving Nonna to Frankie, Catherine (Stephen), Mark (Claudia), Lauren, and Jacob, and a doting Bisnonna to Marcello. Her family was the center of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

A woman of many talents, Caterina was an exceptional cook and baker, and a gifted seamstress. She always welcomed family and friends into her home and delighted in entertaining and cooking meals for them. She was nurturing, selfless, and unwavering in her dedication to those she cared for, never hesitating to place the needs of others above her own.

Though our hearts are broken, we are forever grateful for the memories, love, and legacy she leaves behind.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter's Parish (100 Bainbridge Avenue, Woodbridge) on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens.
