It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carole Shirley Evans (nee Staples) at the Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto, Ontario, on Monday January 16, 2012, of Gravenhurst, Ontario, aged 67. Daughter of the late Everett Staples and the late Paquerette Jeannine Staples (nee Morrissette). Beloved Wife of Leo Traarbach. Mother of Ann Zielke (James), Barrie, Ontario; Jane Evans (Tim), Ottawa, Ontario. Step-mother to Larissa Traarbach (Mike), Hamilton, Ontario; Marnie Rowe (Steve), Hamilton, Ontario; and Danielle Dickinson (Brett), Niagara Falls, Ontario. Grandmother to Jamie, Rachel, Brady, Abby, Kate and Maggie.
Carole was a much loved and recognized history and law teacher at Thornlea Secondary School, Unionville High School, and Middlefield High School.
She has touched many lives with her strength, persistence and love. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
A celebration of her life will take place at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Highway #7 in Woodbridge, Ontario on Saturday January 21, 2012 at 3pm with a gathering from 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of choice or one of the following organizations: Lupus Foundation, Kidney Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
