Carol Frances Margaret Hurley

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Hurley on January 9, 2026 at the age of 83. Born in Montreal on December 6, 1942, Carol was the beloved daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Hurley and sister to Don Hurley, who predeceased her in 2009. Carol was also predeceased by her devoted companion, Joseph Leduke (2024).

Carol was a loving mother to Julie, Nancy (Mike) and Robert, and was predeceased by her cherished daughter Caroline (2015). She was a loving and proud Nana to Mandy, Patrick, Francesca, Sophie (Eli), Erica (Ryan), Andrew and Jonathan, and a delighted great-grandmother to Felix and Ella. Carol was also dearly loved by her many nieces and nephews.

Carol held deep affection for her Montreal roots and often shared fond memories of her years growing up in Rosemount. In 1963 she married Hubert Paré with whom she raised four children. Though their paths changed, they remained friends until his passing in 2015.

Known for being candid and honest with a great sense of humour, Carol spoke her mind and kept those around her laughing. 
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
