Passed away peacefully on October 17th, 2015 at the age of 96. Predeceased by her loving husband Leandro, and by her cherished daughter Loredana (Rocco, surviving). Carmela is also survived by her devoted daughter Silvia (Fiorenzo) and by her grandchildren John, Robert (Heather), Paul (Nicole), Maria (Robert), Cristina (Tony) and Andrew. She was also a proud bis-nonna to Owen, Loredana, Nicholas, Lucas, Leo and Rocco. She will also be greatly missed by all of her nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy. 7 (west of Pine Valley Dr.), Woodbridge, 905-851-9100, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Philip Neri Church, (2100 Jane Street, south of Wilson Ave) on Tuesday, October 20th 2015 at 11:30 am. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
