It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Calogero Leo on April 28, 2026, at the age of 86. Born in Italy on March 27, 1940, Calogero lived a life defined by dedication, humility, and love for his family.
Calogero was the beloved husband of Maria Leo for 56 wonderful years. Together, they built a strong and loving family. He was a devoted father to Liliana (Sergio), Giovanni (Gigliola), and Luciano (Gary), and a proud and cherished grandfather to Michael Calla, Vincent Calla, Vanessa Leo, and Sara Leo.
He will be dearly missed by his siblings, Giuseppe and Lilla, and was predeceased by his loving parents, Giovanni and Liboria.
Calogero was a man of simple pleasures. He found joy in tending to his garden, sharing meals of barbequed lamb, and enjoying a glass of wine. His favourite moments were spent at home, surrounded by his children and grandchildren, whose presence brought him immense happiness and comfort.
A skilled and dedicated welder, Calogero was known for his unwavering work ethic. He never missed a day of work and took great pride in providing for his family. Through his actions, he taught his children the value of hard work, responsibility, and perseverance—lessons that will continue to guide them throughout their lives.
Calogero will be remembered for his strength, his generous heart, and his deep love for family. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled and the memories he created with those who knew and loved him.
Calogero will be deeply missed and forever remembered. May he rest in eternal peace.
