Brenda Sequeira

Brenda Irene Sequeira, loving mother and dedicated grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 20th, 2024 at the age of 71 in Toronto, Ontario. 

She was born April 24, 1953 to parents Donald and Joan Griffin, and brother Donald Jr, in Toronto, Ontario. 

Brenda is survived by William Sequeira (ex-husband), her children and their families: Shawn, Trevor (wife Jennifer, children Lucas and Sofia), and Sherisse (husband Cedric, children Carter, Cole, and Caleb)

At an early age, Brenda found her calling as a care giver to those in need, caring for animals, and then later working at nursing homes, and camps for children with disabilities. 

Later in life, Brenda shifted her focus to her grandchildren, being ever present for them, ensuring her endless love, patience, and infectious laughter had been forever imprinted on them. 

Though Brenda’s passing leaves a large hole in the family, the memories she created will live on brightly. 

In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to the SickKids Foundation to honor Brenda and her love of working with children with disabilities.
