MEAN, Betty (nee Barry)

Suddenly yet peacefully in her 90th year on Thursday November 3, 2011.
Beloved wife of the late G. Edwin Mean. Loving mother of Barry and his partner Barbara, and of Fred and his wife Marlene. Betty will be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Volunteering was proudly a large part of our mom’s life, beginning in Montreal and continuing in Toronto with 43 years of Volunteer Service at Trillium Health Care (formerly Queensway General Hospital). In 2000 she received a Provincial Ontario Volunteer award and in 2008 the Provincial H.A.A.O. Lifetime Award.

A Celebration of Betty’s Life will be held on Sunday December.11, 2011 from 2 to 5pm at the West Toronto Trillium Health Centre auditorium (150 Sherway Dr. Etobicoke, ON.).
