CALLAGHAN, Marion “Bernice”
Marion “Bernice” Callaghan (nee Parker), a long-time resident of Oakville, passed away Monday, May 14th. 2012 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital surrounded by her children. Bernice was born in 1929 in Woodstock, Ontario area. Following her marriage, she and her husband Claude made their home in Oakville, where she has remained. Bernice was a long-time employee of AtoChem. Following her retirement, she devoted her time to her family, friends and neighbours. Predeceased by her husband Claude Alexander “Cal” in 1991, loving mother of Kelly, Paul (Jessie) and Kathleen (Vincent). Bernice is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Sean, Heather, Veronica, Maria, Noureen and Nelysha. Also predeceased by her brother Cyril and sister Elizabeth “Betty”. She is also survived by her sister Marie, brother-in-law JamesMercer and sister-in-law Mais Callaghan. Family and Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home “Oakville Chapel”, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville (905) 844-3221 on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 10:00a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, 47 Reynolds Street, Oakville at 11:00a.m. Internment to follow in Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery.
