With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Bento Travassos, who departed this life peacefully on June 29, 2025, just shy of his 86th birthday.

Born on July 31st, 1939, in Portugal, Bento made the courageous journey to Canada where he built a life rooted in love, family, and hard work. A proud and devoted family man, Bento raised his children with strong values and an unwavering sense of commitment. His warmth, wisdom, and quiet strength were the foundation of our family.

Bento was a man of integrity, humility, and deep compassion. He found joy in simple pleasures - spending time with family, and sharing stories of his youth. He taught us the importance of hard work, and staying true to our roots.

He leaves behind his wife, Germana Travassos, and a legacy of love through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and all those whose lives he touched with his laughter and love.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance, to share stories, and to honour the man he was.

Though we mourn his loss, we are grateful for the years we were blessed to have him. He will be forever missed and always remembered.
