Barbara Ruton

Passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on May 26, 2015 at the age of 86. Devoted wife of 55 years to the previously deceased Robert (Bob) Ruton. She is survived by her son Steve, daughter in law Cheryl and grandchildren Madison and Tyler. Barb enjoyed teaching elementary school for many years in Sudbury, Etobicoke and finally in Oakville at both Falgarwood and Sheridan Public schools. Retirement from teaching offered her the opportunity for many wonderful trips. Barbara loved music, and spent many years singing with the Oakville Choral Society. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville on Friday May 29, 2015 from 4 – 8 p.m. A private family service to take place.
