Barbara Frances Peters Marcus

On October 7th, 2025, at the age of 84, Barbara Frances Peters Marcus of Meaford, passed away peacefully in her sleep.

Barbara was born March 2, 1941 to Earl and Frances Peters in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

She was married to Paul Marcus on February 23rd, 1963, and was a devoted wife up until his sudden passing on May 24th of 2022.

Barbara is survived by her sister Valerie, Sons Greg (Lee-Ann), Jonathon (Samantha), Jason (Andrea), her Grandchildren John-Charles, Jeffery (Kayla), Stephanie (Greg), Sharell, Zachary (Courtney) and Makeighla, as well as her Great Grandchildren Hayden and Zoey, as well as her former daughter in laws, Carolin and Anne Katrine. Barbara was also predeceased by her Son Chris.

Barbara was primarily a stay-at-home mother as she had 4 boys, her older 2 were Irish twins and her 2 younger boys, which were 11yrs younger then the second oldest, were fraternal twins. When her youngest 2 boys, were old enough she ventured out into the work force and found jobs as receptionist or secretary, they were usually part time jobs as she was always on the go getting her boys to sports, that they enjoyed playing and she enjoyed watching them play and succeed.

Barbara will be remembered for her cheerful spirit, her sassy attitude and selflessness. Her beautiful bright smile uplifted those around her and will be remembered by all who knew her. She lived a life full of love and kindness, setting an example for generations to follow.

She will be deeply missed by all those that knew her.

There will be no visitation as per Barbara’s request.
