Oszlak, Barbara Ellen - peacefully surrounded by her family, on August 15th, 2026, in her 72nd year.
Loving Mom to Jennifer (Jason), Andrew (Kristina), Heather and Michael (Merrin). Cherished Gigi to Christopher, Hadley, Aria and Poppy. Predeceased by her husband Jacob and parents Jim and Dorothy Chivers. She will be greatly missed by her brothers and their families.
Mom was the heartbeat of our family. Her door was always open, her table always had room for one more, and her heart held a deep and abiding love for everyone around her. She had a remarkable way of making each person feel seen, valued, and important, always putting the needs of others before her own.
Throughout her life, Mom overcame obstacles with quiet strength and determination. She never allowed life’s challenges to get the better of her or diminish her spirit and capacity to love. She had an incredible thirst for life and a genuine eagerness to experience all that it had to offer. She embraced life with curiosity, warmth, and an open heart. Even in her final days, she continued to laugh and find small moments of joy with her family. She carried herself with grace and humility, leaving an enduring example of resilience, kindness, and love.
Mom leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, strength and love —a home where all were welcomed, a heart where all had a place, and a life that made everyone fortunate enough to know her feel important and deeply loved.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to a charity of your choice in memory of our mother.
