Barbara Loy-Spence, 65, of Toronto, Ontario, died Monday, March 13, 2023 at the Toronto Western Hospital. She was born on Wednesday, October 23, 1957, to Enid Lambert and Vincent Loy in Kingston, Jamaica. Barbara attended and completed nursing school from 1979 - 1982 at Kingston School of Nursing Bellevue Hospital. Barbara worked as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years in Jamaica and Canada. She worked for 30 years at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, where she retired in 2022. She was a recipient of the Gambro Outstanding Achievement Award in 2002, during her studies for her Registered Nurse-Nephrology Nursing Certificate at Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning. She was preceded in death by her mom, Enid Loy, dad, Vincent Loy, and her brother Richard Loy.
