Avery Brooks

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Avery Brooks on October 28, 2025.  Predeceased by his wives Mary Brooks and Carol Brooks.

Avery leaves behind his daughter Karen (Jacques), his stepdaughters, his sister Susan and his brother Ken (Nancy), grandson Michael (Alex) and step grandson, David (Melissa) and his step grandkids.  

Avery will also be missed by his dear friend Vida and Brenda and Sky who calls him grandad and many other friends and family members. 

Avery is a retired TTC employee. Anyone coming into our apartment was bombarded by Avery's stories. Stories about his birth at home and him being placed in the oven for warmth. Stories about his pet rooster Charlie, and stories about the farm.  Avery used to visit Juliette in the dress shop after taking his daughter to work. 

Karen would like to thank Vida, Yvette, Dave and Josephine for visiting her dad Avery in the the hospital when she was unable to herself.
