Assunta Paonessa

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Assunta, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 12, 2018; at the age of 81. Beloved wife to Emilio for 58 years of marriage. Loving mother to Rosa Lommano (John), Frank (Sara) and Mario (Rosalba) and remembered by those she loved as her own; Vincenzo, Elvira and Nina. Cherished grandmother to Andrew (Linda), Alessia (Christian), Chanel (Drew) and Max. Dear sister to Gimmi (Antonetta) and Rosa (Pasquale). Assunta was a hardworking and spiritual person who loved the company of her family and friends and was always willing to help others. Throughout life she never forgot the importance of having a good sense of humor. She will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered by her family, extended spiritual family and her many friends. Visitation will take place at Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway #7) on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 & 5:30-9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens.
