Peacefully at the Nithview Home in New Hamburg. Predeceased by his beloved first wife Helen Marie Battersby and his second wife Ivy Hall Gibson. He is survived by his 3 sons, Jim, Richard and William, and their wives Frances and Sheila, 3 grandchildren Brendan, Stephanie, Amberly and 3 great grandchildren Rosie, Rylan, Mackenzie and his stepson Jimmy Gibson.
Arthur was born in Alsask, Saskatchewan and served in the Airforce in World War II. After the war he worked for the Department of Transport as a land appraiser. Music was a big part of his life and he played clarinet well into his 90’s. He was a great person to be around and he will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Very special thanks to the staff at the Nithview Home who provided loving care and support. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday June 14 at 2:00pm at the Riverside Cemetery , 1567 Royal York Rd., Toronto.
