It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Argentina, on January 1st, 2013, at the age of 87, at Wm Osler Health Centre – Etobicoke, with her loving family at her side. She left us to be reunited with her beloved husband Domenico Giulio (1982). Argentina is the mother of Phyllis (Raffaele) Ciotti, Floriana (Rocco) Cara, Jean (Wayne) Smylie and adored nonna of Mario (Stephane). Lee Anne, Tina Louise (predeceased), Paul (Jenn), Lori (Marco), Julie, Lisa and John. Proud great- grandmother and much loved by Stefano, Alessandro, Alessia, Avery and Ben. Predeceased by her parents Giuseppina and Alesandro Cacciotti, and siblings Orlando, Lidia, Cesare and Genesio Cacciotti. Survived by her sister, Domenica Vitelli. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families, as well as paesani. Argentina and Domenico left Italy and settled on a life in Canada to bring opportunity and prosperity to their family. She will always be remembered for her love of family and her passion for cooking, sewing, crocheting, and gardening.
Family and friends may call Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge, 905-851-9100, on Thursday, from 2-4 pm & 6-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday January 4th, 2013 at St. Clare of Assisi Church 150 St. Frances Ave., Woodbridge at 12:30 p.m. Private Family Interment. If desired donations can be made in memory of Argentina to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
