McLaughlin, Anne Elizabeth (nee Gates) (April 11, 1919 – April 23, 2012)
The world is a little sadder today with the passing of Anne McLaughlin. Peacefully with her family at her side after a brief illness, Anne, beloved wife of the late Thomas McLaughlin, and mother of, Tom, Judy (Carlo Corrado), Wayne (Margaret), James (predeceased), Dan (Debbie) and Laurie (Mark Maveal); Grandmother of 17, and Great Grandmother of 19, Mother-in-law and dear friend of Joy and Denise, and sister-in-law of Grace Gates. Anne will be dearly missed by her nephews and nieces and their respective families, her many friends and neighbours, and all who knew her. Anne was a 30+ year active member of the Brampton Bowling Lanes (many thanks Pat) and competed at the Senior Bowling Olympics; a long time employee of the City of Brampton Recreation Department; and avid euchre player throughout the greater Brampton area. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel”, 52 Main Street South Brampton, on Thursday from 7 – 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 – 12 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 12 noon in the chapel.
