Goepfrich, Anne
December 23, 1928 – February 18, 2013
With sadness, we say good-bye to Anne, who will be joining Tony, her beloved husband of 55 years.
Anne came to Canada from Romania with her brother, Andrew, and settled with her family in Montreal. It was there that she met and married Tony. They spent the majority of their married life moving from city to city for Tony’s work, raising three children, Anthony (Beatrix), Anne-Marie (Conrad) and Robert (Allyson) along the way. They finally settled in Orillia where Anne was a devoted member of her community and Guardian Angels Church, sharing her time and energy as a dedicated volunteer.
“Nana” was a proud and exuberant grandmother to Michael (1979 – 1997), Mark, Christopher (Kristen), Matthew, Morgan, Ashleigh, and Jonathan, and great grandmother to Giorgia and Gabriel.
Anne’s favourite things in life were her family, her garden, and food. Most of all she loved to laugh, especially with her brother Andrew and her cousin Christine. Thank you to the staff at Leisure World – Vaughan, for all the care and attention to her life over the past 7 years, and the comfort provided during her final days. The family will receive relatives and friends at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge, 905-851-9100 on Thursday, from 7-9pm, and on Friday, from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Peter’s Church, 100 Bainbridge Ave, Woodbridge, on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 9:30am. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
