Anna Dimitriou

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Anna Dimitriou, on Monday, April 1, 2018 in Toronto during her 95th year. Wife to her late husband Kosta Dimitriou. Beloved Mother to Leon (the late Patricia) and Tom (Leara). Loving Grandmother to Charmaine (Fabrizio), Jeffery, Stephanie (Allan), and Ryan. Cherished Great-Grandmother to Spencer, Ava and Greyson. She was born on April 25, 1922 in Marina, Florina, Greece and arrived in Canada in 1952 where she slowly adapted to her new way of life. She loved and was greatly loved by her family, relatives and friends. To many, she was a ‘Teta’, a ‘Vuina’ and to even more she was ‘Baba Ancha’. Thanks and appreciation to the staff of the Harold and Grace Baker Centre for their care and devotion. Friends and family will be received at Ward Funeral Home (2035 Weston Road) on Wednesday from 5:00 - 9:00 pm. An Orthodox Rite of Service will take place at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church (1 Brookhaven Drive) on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at at Riverside Cemetery.
