Anna Crudele

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Anna ("Nina") Crudele (nee Damiani), in her 101st year, on May 22, 2025 in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Born March 29, 1924 in Triggiano, Bari, Italy to Saverio and Marietta Damiani and the eldest of five siblings, Anna is predeceased by her dear husband of fifty-four years, Francesco. Cherished mother to Vincent Crudele, Marie Lecce (Enrico), Frank Crudele (Virginia) and Theresa Lecce (Remo). Doting grandmother to David (Antonella), Michael (Nicole), Alex (Christina), Julia (Antonio), Stephen, Erica, Nicholas, Hanna and Gabriel and adored great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren.  

Anna was a woman of deep faith, devoted to a life of piety and simplicity. She was always the first to give and the last to receive, as she would not have it any other way. With a kind heart and gentle disposition, she cherished her family immensely, relishing in visits from them and recounting stories of years gone by.  Anna requested nothing from her loved ones other than a kiss and warm embrace, wishing for them good health, happiness and peace in their lives. 

The family would like to extend sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff and medical practitioners at Mackenzie Long-Term Health Care (Richmond Hill) and Dr. Hayami for the many years of kindness and professional care provided to our dear mother during her final years.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Monday, May 26, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary (8500 Islington Ave, Woodbridge) on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens.
