Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the age of 60.
Beloved wife of Dharmendra Singh for 40 wonderful years. Proud and devoted mother of David, Nicholas, and Jonathan. Loving sister and cherished aunt to her many nieces and nephews.
Anita will be deeply missed by her dear siblings, extended family, and the many friends whose lives she touched.
Born in Georgetown, Guyana, to her loving parents, Henrick and Khaneese Gonsalves, Anita was the youngest of thirteen children. At the age of 15, she immigrated to Canada, where she worked tirelessly to build a beautiful life filled with love, determination, and unwavering devotion to her family. It was in Canada that she met the love of her life, Dharmendra Singh. They were married in 1989 and soon welcomed their first son when Anita was just 20 years old.
Anita was a hardworking, compassionate, and resilient woman whose strength and determination inspired everyone around her. Her smile was infectious, and her positive spirit lit up every room she entered. Her faith carried her through life's challenges, giving her the courage to face every obstacle with grace and hope.
She found joy in music, dancing, travelling, relaxing on the beach, and playing volleyball. Anita loved preparing delicious meals for those she loved, enjoyed watching Bollywood movies and cheering on her favorite soccer teams. She treasured every opportunity to laugh, smile, and create lasting memories with her family and friends.
Above all else, Anita lived for her three boys. They were her greatest pride, her greatest joy, and the heart of everything she did. Her unconditional love, kindness, generosity, and radiant spirit will remain her lasting legacy in the lives of all who knew and loved her.
Though she will be profoundly missed, Anita's love, strength, and beautiful smile will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever in our hearts. ❤️
