Amber Lynn Blunt, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, was born on September 26, 1989, and entered eternal life on January 26, 2026.
Amber was a woman marked by love, faith, and quiet strength. Long before illness became part
of her story, she lived with intention, kindness, and a deep care for others. She had a gentle presence, a thoughtful spirit, and a way of making people feel seen and safe.
In 2018, Amber was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma. What followed was not only a medical journey, but a profound spiritual one. Through years of treatment, uncertainty, and physical hardship, Amber’s faith did not waver — it deepened. She believed, unwaveringly, that healing was real, that God was present, and that love was stronger than fear.
Amber often said that she lived first for God, and then for her daughter. Though she was given only five months with Aviya, she poured a lifetime of love into them. Her longing for one more cuddle, one more chance to love her daughter, became an anchor for her faith. In those moments, love and belief were no longer separate — they were the same thing.
Amber was never alone in her journey. Alongside her family, she was steadfastly supported by her dear friend Dawn, whose tireless advocacy, loyalty, and love through countless hospital days became a living expression of compassion and friendship. Amber was also surrounded by the faithful presence of her mother, Dawn’s mother, and her sister Joannie, whose regular visits, prayers, and quiet strength formed a circle of care that carried her through some of her hardest moments.
Amber was a devoted wife to Carlos, and a loving mother to Aviya, whom she cherished deeply. Becoming a mother was one of the greatest joys of her life. Her legacy lives on in the love she poured into her family and in the faith she modeled so boldly.
Amber’s life reminds us that we are not here to live an easy life, but a meaningful one. Though her body grew tired, her spirit grew strong. Though her voice became quiet, her testimony became louder.
She is survived by her husband Carlos, her daughter Aviya, her mother Judith, her sisters Joannie, Kathleen and Valery, and her extended family, as well as a community forever changed by her courage, faith, and love.
“I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” — Psalm 118:17
