Alice Woodhouse

Alice Elizabeth Woodhouse was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on October 29, 2025 at 11:20 AM, passing away peacefully and surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her son Steven, her daughter Wendy, daughter-in-law Gladys, and her four grandchildren: Chris, Damon, Olivia, and Emma.

Alice was born to Charles and Pelma Fountain on May 19, 1935 in Guelph, Ontario. After her marriage to Robert Woodhouse, she had three beautiful children: Kenneth, Wendy, and Steven, and fostered several others over the course of twelve years.

With a nurturing heart, Alice found fulfillment working as a dedicated teacher’s aid and volunteered at the food bank until she couldn't. She loved walks by the Humber River and enjoyed traveling, often taking the long route during trips to stop and admire the beauty around her. Alice was a joy to be around and had a way of making friends wherever she went. She would take her time speaking to fellow crafters and neighbours, her smile and laugh charming even the grumpiest of folks. She was a fierce Scrabble competitor, loved to knit, and made an awesome coffee pie.

Friends will be received on Friday November 14th from 5pm to 7pm.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 7pm.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Aphasia Institute in tribute to both her and her son Kenneth Woodhouse.
