Alexandra "Sandra" Missios

It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of Sandra Missios, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Sandra died peacefully in her 93rd year. She is predeceased by her husband (George), her mother (Tsveta), father (Vane), sister (Tsila), and brother (Chris). She leaves behind her two wonderful children, Tom (Toni) and Vicky (Gus); her beautiful grandchildren, Nick, Teresa, Diana (Dino), and George; and her precious great grandchildren, Alexander, Victoria, Katerina, Adrianna, and Marianna. Sandra, affectionately known as “baba,” had a special love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored more than anything. She lived a wonderful and full life surrounded by her family until her last days. 

Baba was a natural-born caregiver and a kind, warm, gentle, and patient soul. She had a great sense of humour (even in her older age) and possessed a strength and determination like no other (even in her older age). Baba’s favourite phrase was “I love you.” She taught us how to love and be loved. She would often tell her loved ones that “there is no end” to her love for them. We feel the same way; we will forever hold baba in our hearts.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service to take place on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ward Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Sandra's name to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
