ALLEN, ALBERT JAMES (World War II Veteran, served overseas, R.C. Artillery, 3rd Division)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Albert “Ab” Allen after a brief illness, on Monday May 23, 2011 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Helen Allen (2008). Dear father of Karen and John. Cherished grandfather of Coleen and Shawn, Ryan and Laurie, Johnny and Amy. Devoted great grandfather of Kaitlyn and Rachel. Sadly missed by his sisters Dora McWhinnie, Alice Scott, Isabel Penfold, Mary Lowden as well as his sisters-in-law and his many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston on Friday May 27, 2011 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Ward Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday May 28, 2011 at 11:30 am. Reception to follow. Burial will be held at a later date.
