Peacefully in her sleep and surrounded by the love of her family, Sidalia DaEstrela Pereira passed on Friday December 4th, 2020 at the age of 72 after a very long and difficult battle with urothelial cancer.
Her family was most important and her greatest joy. She will be forever missed, loved and remembered by her husband of 51 years, Honorato Pereira and her children Nancy Calautti and Jason Pereira. As well, her son-in-law Robert Calautti and daughter-in-law Veronica Pereira. As defined by “DaEstrela” meaning “of the star”, her four granddaughters, Samantha and Sierra Calautti and Casia and Jenna Pereira were the stars in her life. They will forever miss, love and remember their “Vo Sidalia” and treasure the many beautiful memories they have.
Sidalia will also lovingly be cherished and remembered by her sister Maria Dos Anjos Rombeiro, brother Antonio Jose Camelo, and sister Anna Almeida as well as her sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, and many nieces and nephews. She will also be greatly missed by other dear family members and many dear friends.
The anchor and heart of our family, she wove the quilt that tells each of our individual stories and our family story. She was our rock. She taught us about the power of prayer and to have faith, no matter how difficult the circumstances – the source of her strength and bravery. She was small but mighty. She will shine and live in our hearts forever.
Flowers or donations to either the Hospital for Sick Children or the Scott Mission are very much appreciated
