Rose Balla

On Saturday, May 8, 2021, Rose Balla passed away peacefully in her sleep.
She leaves behind her son Les (Ann), her daughter Barbara Colacci (John) her grandchildren Tony Colacci (Vanessa), Rose Fines (Nick), Mat Stiver-Balla (Stella) and Michael Stiver-Balla (Jenn). Rose has 5 precious great-grandchildren, Rosy, Ava, John, Elijah, and Alexander. She will also be sadly missed by her niece Susan Clawson (Hugh).
Rose and her family emigrated from Hungary to Canada in the late 1920’s and went out west to Saskatchewan to build a new life with other Hungarians. After years of hardship they moved to Toronto hoping for better opportunities which did come their way.
Rose will be remembered for her excellent cooking and baking, her love of dancing and her gymnastic abilities. She was a former Ontario Gymnastic Champion, 1947.
Rose was a very outgoing and friendly person. She was the life of any party.
A private family funeral will be held.
