Mario Vecchiarelli
Our beloved husband and father, Mario Vecchiarelli passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on December 5th at the age of 67. He left us suddenly and much too early. Though he may be gone he leaves behind the love of many family members, friends, and neighbours. He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 44 years, Susan (née Puzzolanti) and cherished daughter, Elyse. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law Angela. He is very loved by his in-laws Cathi, Lori (Tony), Micheal, Rosemarie (Micheal), and Howard. He adored his niece, nephews, and great-nephew. He was an active part of St. Peter's parish as an usher and a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Colombus. He was a friend to many, no one was ever a stranger, and he always had a story to share, and would help anyone whenever and however he could.
He loved a good cup of coffee, going to Blue Jays games with Elyse and Susan, westerns and decorating for the holidays.
He will be joining his beloved mother Assunta, father Libero, Father-in-law Frank, Sister-in-law Angela, Zia Victtoria, aunts, uncles, and loved ones in heaven.
Donations can be made to the University Health Network in Mario’s memory. The nurses, doctors, and specialists there were an integral part of his care, and we are forever grateful for the extra time they gave us with him.
Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge (just west of Pine Valley Dr.) on Saturday from 3-8 p.m. and Sunday from 2-9 p.m. A mass will be held on Monday December 12, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Church 100 Bainbridge Ave., Woodbridge. Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven.
