Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday July 31, 2022 at the age of 95. Devoted wife of the late Renzo. Proud mother of Angela (Vito) and Sandra (Matthew predeceased). Cherished Nonna of Paul (Katia), Lisa (Tony), Rob and the late Marc, Sal and Christina. Loving Great Nonna of Christian, Gemma, Max and Alexander. She will be sadly missed by her many family and friends.
Eugenia has been reunited with the love of her life Renzo
.
She will be fondly remembered for her love of her family, nothing would bring a smile to her face more than her grand and great grand children.
Eugenia and Renzo loved to entertain friends and family. They loved to go out dancing and visiting within their circle of friends.
Eugenia enjoyed people watching while knitting and indulging in a cup of tea or coffee on the veranda. Back in Genoa Italy as a young woman, Eugenia would knit socks for the locals which would be exchanged for a loaf of bread or for other essential items which were in short demand during WW2.
Holidays were always celebrated around the family table enjoying her great cooking and baking. The house would be filled with the song and laughter. Opera was the music that was closest to Moms heart. She would be often found in the kitchen singing or humming a tune while stirring dinner that was on the stove top.
“Eugenia will be forever loved and always remembered. We love you.”
