Obituary

Assunta Martini

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother on November 14, 2020 at the age of 92. Born on March 25, 1928 in Sora, Italy to parents Angela Iannucci and Luigi Bottiglioli. Devoted wife of 49 years to the late Franco which they built a beautiful life and family together. In addition to being a beloved wife, Assunta was a caring and devoted mother to son Tony and late daughter-in-law Gisella and daughter Dora and son-in-law Enrico and a treasured grandmother to Jennifer (husband Danny) and Matthew, Adrian (wife Cassandra), Julian, and Alessia. Assunta was also a cherished great grandmother to Gabriel and a loving sister to the (late) Maria, (late) Elvira, Gina, and (late) Antonietta. She will always be fondly remembered by her children, grandchildren, great grandson, relatives, friends and all those that knew her. Assunta's strength, smile, and courage will live on forever in our hearts.

I have so many fond memories of Patina Assunta. Whenever I would unexpectedly appear at her front door she would always accept me with open arms. One time she told me she thought of me as a sister. It breaks my heart that we can not even pay our last respect to Assunta because we are in day three of self isolation but she is in our thoughts and prayers. I send my deepest condolences to her family. Assunta was a wonderful, wonderful person.
