Angelo Bortoletto’s Obituary (August 16, 1936 - June 18, 2020)

Angelo Bortoletto passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 18th 2020, two months from his 84th Birthday, surrounded by his children at his bedside.

Angelo is now reunited with his late wife Concetta, a woman that he loved and adored.

Angelo’s family was his life. He will be dearly missed by his many relatives, especially by his three children: Nadia (husband Loris), Lou, and Marco (wife Claudia) and three grandchildren, whom he was so very proud of: Steven, Lisa (husband Zoran) and Nathaniel.

Angelo was Born in Ponzano Treviso Italy on August 16th 1936. At the age of 20, he sailed to Canada to start a new life of opportunity and adventure. He learned the value of hard work early in life and always strived to be his best. He put his knowledge and talent to work in the construction industry and accomplished his goal by starting his own business which employed over 100 people. He provided guidance and encouragement to young apprentices and wanted them all to succeed just as he did. Angelo truly believed that hard work, education and kindness are the tools to success. He took pleasure and pride in his work that can be noted throughout Toronto and the Southern Region of Ontario.

Angelo loved nothing more than being surrounded by his family and sharing stories. He shared his humour, wisdom and positive spirit with his family up until his last days. His quick wit and desire to make people laugh was his signature characteristic.

Angelo was an active member of his community: Knights of Columbus, St. Margret Mary Church and San Marco Veneto Club. He was a significant supporter of hospitals throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

Angelo enjoyed following the Toronto Maple Leafs, Soccer, Formula One Racing and listening to the music of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett.

Angelo undoubtedly left his mark on many people - family, friends, employees, neighbours and caregivers. He will be dearly missed. Angelo’s devotion and faith has led to his unification with God.

Entombment will take place at Beechwood Cemetery (Vaughan). A celebration of life will follow on a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers a donation in Angelo’s memory can be made to Princes Margaret Cancer Foundation
