Angela Ricci

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Angela Ricci (nee Ceccanese), on January 23, 2022 at Humber River Hospital at the age of 95.

She was born in Pisterzo, Lazio, Italy. Beloved wife to her late husband, Louis Ricci, loving mother of Anna (Carmine) and Fred. Sister of the late Mary Campagna (Domenic) and the late Tony Ceccanese (Nancy) and aunt to Anthony. Grandmother to Nicole (Richard), Marc(Kristen) and David. Great-grandmother to Luke, Victoria and Ada.

After arriving from Italy at 9 years old and growing up in Timmins, Ontario , she worked as a hairdresser before marrying. She was a talented baker. Her signature crochet blankets were unique and treasured by those who received them. Angela’s family is deeply grateful to the PSWs, nurses, and staff at Norfinch Care Community, Long Term Care Home where she received outstanding and loving care for 7 years. She will be greatly missed.

A private family service will take place on Monday January 31st, at Ward Funeral Home in Woodbridge.
